Fashion Authority
About Fashion Authority
Been burned too many times by townie fashion? Take control of the threads around your hoods by instituting uniforms! Assign outfits based on Body Frame (Adult/Child), and Fashion Preference (Masculine/Feminine) then restrict by Situation Jobs or Careers, and limit to specific Regions.
Once a Sim has a uniform assigned, anytime they spawn to be assigned to a job (bartender, walkby, student, etc) or a career during work hours, they'll automatically have their outfit overwritten by your uniform!
Closet Threads, new in Fashion Authority 2, allow you to curate a Sim's closet beyond their CAS outfits and automatically override their outfit changes when they move about their day. Uniforms will always take precedence.
Installation Notes Script and Package Mod
Unzip and place the package and ts4script in your Mods folder. Make sure you only have ONE copy at a time.
Double check that your unzipped script does not end with a number in the case your destination folder had an existing file with the name — otherwise the script will not load.
If you organize your CC, make sure scripts are not placed more than one folder deep.

Fashion Authority Documentation
Getting Started with Fashion Authority
Click on any Sim (child or older) in the world and look for the Fashion Authority category, select Create Thread. Body Frame and Fashion Preference will be pre-selected based on the Sim you targeted. Select Generic, Situation Job, or a Career restriction for the uniform. Situation Job will show any of the jobs the Sim is currently assigned to. Careers will show any careers the Sim has joined. Generic uniforms will not have a job/career restriction and are not automatically assigned on spawn. Next, you can choose whether to Start Fresh which will set a plain outfit on the mannequin, or you can
High School Outfits
If you are creating High School Student uniforms, I recommend creating a Career restricted Thread as most students have their own Situation Job and would require almost 8 unique Threads for each Body Frame. Because Situation Job Threads take precedence over Career Threads, you can assign a uniform to Cheerleading/Chess Team/Computer Team Situation Jobs to have their own unique look during the school day. If you are creating High School Principal/Teacher/Custodian uniforms, I recommend creating Situation Job restricted Threads, as they do not have a related career for those Sims.
Closet Threads
Closet Threads let you override entire CAS outfit categories! Anytime a Sim requests an outfit change and a uniform does not apply, they will look for a Closet Thread with a matching category. Multiple categories are supported to make your outfits flexible, plus you can even set the Bathing category to make a never-nude Sim! If Merging is enabled, all of the CAS outfits from the selected categories will be added to the selection pool (only Everyday is used for the OG Uniforms). Using the “Change into Closet Outfit…” picker will cache the selected outfit with the specific category you used. The
Generic Threads
Generic Uniforms will not be automatically assigned to spawning Sims, however their outfits are available at any time to manually change into through the Change into Threads interaction.
Situation Job Threads
Apply a uniform specifically to Teachers, the Principal, Baristas, etc by using a Situation Job restriction type. Situation Job uniforms take precedence over Career uniforms if they occur at the same time during work hours.
Career Threads
Use a Career Thread to apply a uniform during work hours. This is useful for Students at school to all be in the same outfit regardless of their individual job. However, you can still apply individual job uniforms which take precedence. Sims will ignore their uniforms when on PTO or vacation, unless the Thread is marked as Evergreen.
University Threads
Use a University Thread to apply a uniform during class hours. Sims will ignore their uniforms when on PTO or vacation, unless the Thread is marked as Evergreen.
Outfit Merging Rules
By default Full Body, Upper Body, Lower Body clothes and Shoes will be enforced. This means a Sim’s everyday accessories will merge into the uniform like Hats, Earrings, Socks, etc. There is a new Outfit Merging Rules option when editing a Thread to customize this functionality. Select all the options you would like to enforce or keep empty. Otherwise unselect to allow merging. You can also Disable Merging which will prevent any accessories or outfit parts from a Sim’s everyday outfits appearing on your uniform if you need strict enforcement.
Accessory Merging for Advanced Users
The Outfit Merging as Accessory/Prop Templates feature that was introduced in 1.3 is now controlled by the “Enable Accessory Merge Mode” setting. When enabled, manually changing into Threads will merge into the Sim’s current outfit instead of choosing an everyday outfit. The setting will disable itself again the next time you restart the game. This is an advanced feature and requires you set up the merging rules on your Threads properly for the best effect, as shown in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqfWkZR3B7Y by SurelySims.
Importing and Sharing Threads with Other Saves
Importing Threads You can now import Threads from other save files! Look for “Import Threads” in the Fashion Authority > Settings category. Note: Only icons and names of Threads are available in this view. Specific Sim Restrictions will most likely not transfer unless the Sim IDs from a previous save match. Sharing Threads with Other Saves When saving your game with the “Save As” button, a Save ID is maintained between the save files. As a result, Fashion Authority would sync Thread changes between saves which may not make sense with how you’ve changed the world. Two new cheats have been added
Evergreen Uniforms
Generic and Career Threads have a toggle to enable them as an Evergreen uniform. This means that anytime a Sim spawns that matches the restrictions, they will wear the uniform. Regardless of whether it is work hours, all year round! This should allow you to customize your townies’ fashion to fit a specific time period or style for ultimate immersion!
Clothing Source
You can set CAS Outfit Categories as the Clothing Source for a Uniform Thread. When categories are selected, you will no longer be able to modify the Thread’s mannequin. Instead, when this uniform is enforced an outfit from the Sim’s CAS category will be worn (Closet Threads are ignored in this case). All restrictions are still compatible, which means you can create “casual Friday”, or enforce formalwear at venues, etc.
Compatibility
All Situation Jobs, Careers, and Traits created by modders will appear in the restriction menus! Closet Threads may conflict and override changes other mods make to the Situation category. There are currently no known conflicts with existing outfit mods like MCCC or Bienchen’s Situation Outfits Begone when using the original Uniform Threads.
Important Usage Notes
General Usage Threads are stored per Save Game Slot in the lot51_fashion_authority_data directory located next to the ts4script. They will automatically save when your game is saved. Be sure to keep this folder between updates in the same folder as the ts4script. You can create multiple Threads with the same restrictions, and a random Thread will be selected from all available matches. You may also add multiple outfit slots within CAS which will be randomly chosen from once a Thread is selected. If Sims request an Athletic, Bathing, or Sleepwear outfit, their Uniform will be ignored until they
