Let your farm friends roam free-i-e-i-o with Free-Range! Cows and Llamas are finally separated from their Animal Shelter and can roam around like Chickens and Rabbits.

Included in this mod are two invisible markers to designate your own shelter like a barn or pen, and a grazing area for grass feed to grow. During the day your farm friends will roam outside and feed on the grass. Once the sun goes down they'll hang out together near the shelter marker. If you have Seasons installed, they will also huddle inside during severe rain or snow.
Installation Notes Script and Package Mod
Unzip and place the package and ts4script in your Mods folder. Make sure you only have ONE copy at a time.
Double check that your unzipped script does not end with a number in the case your destination folder had an existing file with the name — otherwise the script will not load.
If you organize your CC, make sure scripts are not placed more than one folder deep.
Get Mod Support with Bot 51
You can can now get automated mod support directly online!
Open Bot 51 in the lower right corner of your screen then ask a question or upload a Last Exception file or Lot 51 log file like lot51_core.log.
If you need human support you will need to Join the Discord community.
You can upload 5 files and ask 20 questions per day.

Getting Started with Free-Range
Look for the Livestock Shelter Marker and the Grazing Marker in the Outdoor Activities category to designate the two hang out areas for your animals. Once you go back into Live mode the markers will disappear.
Caretaking
Cows and Llamas require the same care they required before, however they’ll start to make a big mess. Cow pies, trash piles, mud puddles (Seasons required) will need to be raked up daily, and will multiply more rapidly if the animals themselves stay dirty. Use the Clean Livestock Shelter option by clicking on the ground to have your Sim cleanup everything they can find. You may find your Cows to be a bit gassy. If you have Eco Lifestyle, the daily dose of methane will push your lot towards an Industrial footprint.
Stay Vigilant

- You can now convert your animal shed animals to free-range animals by using the “Allow to Roam Free” interaction within “Actions…”. This is an irreversible action.

- The EA “Lock for Everyone” door/gate interactions now locks out free-range animals.
