The Custom Channel Injector is a script that allows modders to easily add custom tv and stereo channels to the game with a tuning snippet, originally created by SashaT1804!
They haven’t been around in a while and the Original Edition (v4) on Mod The Sims is unfortuntely no longer compatible with the game. I have forked it and completely rewrote and optimized it to take advantage of Core Library to help stay maintained over time.
No changes have been made to the snippet schema so the only thing you need to do is delete the old SashaT1804_CustomChannelInjector_v4.0.ts4script and install this one.

Creators: Updating Your Mods for 2025+
EA made a change in 2024 that removed the need for Smart Speakers, Hot Tubs, and Skating Rinks to have custom stereo channel ObjectStateValues. As a result, the channel_list within smart_hub_channels, water_scooter_channels, hot_tub_channels and skating_ring_channels are no longer necessary.
To ensure your custom channels continue to work in the future, you should remove those ObjectStateValues and update the interactions to refer to the generic stereo channels you set in radio_channels.channel_list.
Installation Notes Script Only Mod
Unzip and place the ts4script in your Mods folder. Make sure you only have ONE copy at a time.
Double check that your unzipped script does not end with a number in the case your destination folder had an existing file with the name — otherwise the script will not load.
If you organize your CC, make sure scripts are not placed more than one folder deep.
Get Mod Support with Bot 51
You can can now get automated mod support directly online!
Open Bot 51 in the lower right corner of your screen then ask a question or upload a Last Exception file or Lot 51 log file like lot51_core.log.
If you need human support you will need to Join the Discord community.
You can upload 5 files and ask 20 questions per day.
Custom Channel Injector 1.2
- The tuning reload system triggered by the Pack Selector is now triggered each time the game loads your purchased marketplace content, meaning restarting the game no longer makes this "issue" go away.
- The injector will no longer be disabled when tuning reloads and won't see the notification anymore. May the sim lords have mercy on your game.
